About the event
Join Bri Watts and Michael Takatsuno for a unique walking, hiking and backpacking workshop in the beautiful hills of Foothills Park. Michael is an experienced and expert long-distance backpacker having hiked many thousands of miles of trails over his lifetime. Michael and Bri are the co-founders of RooT Fx.net where they teach functional strength and mobility programs, RooT Fx Outdoors and RooT Fx Tai chi. Michael is a 30 year practitioner of the Yang style short form of tai chi.
Your experience will start with Trail Training School in Foothills Park, where you with learn about Core Walking and how to move efficiently over various terrains. You'll be doing some light training and core walking practice before heading out on the trail with Bri and Michael. You can end your day at any time and return to your car or choose to do a little longer and more challenging hike…
